Juan Núñez

Juan Nunez’s 40-year career in the natural and organic foods sector spans from 1982, starting at Mrs. Gooch’s Natural Foods and continuing with Whole Foods Market since its 1993 acquisition of Mrs. Gooch’s. Thereafter, he held various positions at Whole Foods Market, including Store Team Leader, Director of Store Operations in the Southern Pacific Region and Vice President of the Southwest Region. He served as President of the Florida Region since 1998, helping it grow from three to 32 stores and facilities, a bakehouse, a regional office and a distribution center with an adjoined produce facility. In 2021, Juan added the South Region to his portfolio, creating the Southeast Region, where he oversaw a combined 78 stores and 3 facilities. Juan is a former board member of the Whole Kids and Whole Planet Foundations and has been recognized as a Whole Foods Market Global All-Star six times. A Chilean native and father of two, he holds a BA in Organizational Leadership from St. Thomas University, Miami Gardens, FL.

Tim Bascombe

Tim Bascombe, a UK native who migrated to the USA in his youth, brings extensive global business experience to Grocers Gateway Group. His aim is to revolutionize the food industry by elevating quality in the healthy and clean food movement. With degrees in Geography and Urban Planning & Design, plus a background in architecture studies, he taps into this diverse knowledge base to innovate products tailored to American consumers. Leveraging his expertise in marketing and design, honed over years in the industry, he assists food producers in targeting specific markets effectively. His insights from a design project with Whole Foods Market in 2014 and participation in their strategic planning provide unique perspectives on healthy food trends in the US. With Grocers Gateway Group, he collaborates with esteemed food consultants to empower producers and manufacturers in the competitive US market.

Co-Founder / Principal

Marion Marvil

Marion Marvil is a senior brand and growth strategist with over 25 years of experience spanning consumer products, media, e-commerce, and services. A Wharton School graduate, she has built and scaled high-impact marketing and customer acquisition platforms for emerging brands and established enterprises alike.

Marion’s career is defined by her ability to translate strategy into measurable growth. She has supported award-winning digital marketing initiatives, contributed to $115M+ in tracked revenue, launched cross-border e-commerce programs, and helped develop branded content models that delivered six-figure returns within their first 90 days. Her work bridges data-driven decision-making with culturally fluent storytelling.

At Natcom Global / NC Digy, Marion played a key role in enabling and operationalizing the agency’s short-form video strategy, designing partner and consumer-facing assets that supported scale. This work supported production at a volume of 1,200+ videos per month across three languages, including exclusive content for Emmy-winning chefs, as well as large-scale content repurposing from partners such as Warner Music Group and the BBC.

Marion also spearheaded marketing for The Better Food Movement Conference, bringing together 600+ industry leaders focused on healthier food systems and sustainable agriculture. She contributed to the execution and launch of FusionMIA, a four-day cultural activation during Art Basel for Grey Goose and Bacardi, which reached 10.8 million users and became the top-trending topic opening weekend.

Beyond commercial growth, Marion is deeply committed to community engagement and sustainable impact. Her leadership includes nonprofit involvement with Jack & Jill Children’s Center and active participation in Miami’s business and Hispanic marketing communities. This ethos is central to Grocers Gateway Group’s mission: building brands that grow responsibly, resonate culturally, and create lasting value.
